“Just For Kids” Campaign

The Huntington High YMCA Youth Building annually conducts a “Just For Kid’s” campaign to raise money to support membership Gifts to underprivileged children, low income seniors, and individuals with disabilities. The YMCA issues over 350 youth memberships to underprivileged youth, over 150 memberships to low income seniors and over 100 memberships to persons with disabilities.

During the campaign volunteers will ask individuals and companiesto donate $100 or more to support a yearly membership for these
individuals. Individuals receiving these memberships can usethe facilities and participate in all our programs at the HuntingtonHigh YMCA.

Individuals can be recommended to receive thesememberships by teachers, ministers, social service agencies, officers of the court, individuals in the community. If you would like further information on the “Just For Kids” Campaign please contact George Smailes or Kay Browning at 525-8127.

Capital Campaign

The Huntington YMCA is conducting a Capital Campaign to raise $750,000 to construct two gymnasiums at the Huntington High YMCA Youth/Senior Facility. The two greatest resources we have are our youth and senior citizens. Two gymnasiums will provide much needed space to increase out programming
and improve the quality of the on going programs.

Additional facility expansion will occur at the YMCA May Building. The free weight room will be expanded to meet the fitness demands from the community. The expansion of the weight room will allow us to move the weight equipment
from the fitness center to the expanded weight room. This will allow us to add additional cardio exercise equipment. Both projects will enable the YMCA to better serve the Tri State Community and the increasing demand for fitness.

For further information on the Campaign or if you would like to make a contribution contact George Smailes at 304-525-8127.
